MONOCHROMATIC MAKEUP
By Kham

I usually don’t wear a bold lip color if I’m already wearing dark eyeshadow, especially if the lippie matches my eyeshadow, but I’ve always enjoyed a good vampy look and it is fun to rock from time to time. For monochromatic looks like this one, deep plummy colors are my favorite to use. You can also experiment with brighter colors, and if bold colors really aren’t your thing you can surely try more muted, neutral colors to achieve a more subtle look that still makes a statement!

FOTD: Strawberry Fields Forever
by Kailey

Two of my favorite drugstore brands, Maybelline and Revlon, are 40% off right now at Ulta, so it gave me the perfect excuse to spotlight some of my favorite products by them!

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream
What I wear when I’m too lazy to put on foundation, this bb cream is dewy without looking oily and has an SPF 30!

Revlon Matte Lipstick in Really Red
Here I’m wearing Really Red, a gorgeous strawberry red, and paired it with Maybelline Color Elixir Lip Color in Signature Scarlet for a glossy finish. I’m kind of obsessed with the lip elixirs and just might be taking advantage of the sale to get more… *cough*

Also wearing: NYX Liquid Black Liner, NYX ‘Milk’ Jumbo Pencil

FOTD: Blues For Babely Brown Eyes
by Kham

Wearing:
Winged Liner - Maybelline Line Stiletto Ultimate Precision Liquid Eyeliner
Waterline - NYX Eyeliner Pencil; black
Lower Lashline - ELF Resort Eyeshadow Palette
Falsies - eBay; 015
Lips - NYX’s Sierra

I know, I know — blue eyeshadow and really, blue eye-anything, can be intimidating. It is, however, a color that happens to compliment brown eyes so well. If you’re not feeling up to doing a full-on blue eyeshadow look, try adding just a bit beneath your lower lashline or waterline to pair with your winged eyeliner.

The coolness of the blue will bring forth the warmth of your beautiful brown eyes and make them pop. Plus, a little touch of color is always fun to experiment with, so go ahead and give it a try!

WoooOOOwwww an actual FOTD!!!! It’s only been… an embarrassingly long time. Anyway, this is the makeup I did for my graduation ceremony for a university program. I could have done a totally respectable neutral smokey eye, but I do that every day and I wanted to use makeup products I haven’t used in awhile. It ended up being yet another version of my Lady Vengeance obsession.
