Since I talk about my never-ending quest to collect all of the neutral eyeshadows ever, I decided to do a really simple look featuring…neutrals! (your surprise I feel it)

Eyes: L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Amber Rush (892) as the all over eyelid color, theBalm Eyeshadow in Standoffish in the inner corner, and theBalm Eyeshadow in Sleek on the outer third of the eye. Used Milani Liquif’Eye Metallic Eye Liner Pencil in Brown (05) on the upper lashline and the outer third the waterline. Mascara used was Rimmel Scandal Eyes Mascara in Extreme Black (003).

Face: Foundation is Estee Lauder Invisible Fluid Makeup in 5WN1. On the cheeks is La Femme Powder Blush in Redwood.

Lips: Lipstick is Revlon Super Lustrous Lipcolor in Coral Berry (674)

Because sometimes I purchase high-end products. A department store in my area has its bi-annual sale where you can use coupons on cosmetics, so I stocked up. And by stocked up I mean that I ended up with more lip products, among other things.

  • Estee Lauder Time Zone Anti-Line/Wrinkle Eye Creme | link: I purchased this because of my mom and beautifymeeh. My mom loves this stuff and beautifymeeh is just…ffff I love her okay. ;; I’m looking for a new anti-wrinkle eye cream so I’ve been trying products for…a year? I might go back to my Shiseido one if I don’t like this one though…I’ve been looking for something a bit cheaper.
  • Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in Black Ink (1) | link: Does this need any introduction? I think not. ;D
  • Chanel Levres Scintillantes Glossimer in Jalousie (169) | link: …I now realize that Chanel has some wordy names oh my gosh. Anyway, I promised myself that I wouldn’t get lipsticks for a while since I have purchased quite a bit of them recently…so I ended up getting a lip gloss. Admittedly, after trying this color in store, it lasted 4 hours and wore off beautifully. I always have the best luck with Chanel glosses.
  • Dior Addict Ultra-Gloss Extravagant Grenadine (662) | link: Blunt Chi-Chi moment: I bought this and will keep it knowing that a) it’s sheer and b) it does not hold up to eating/drinking. With that said, it is like a watermelon-pink on me with lots of glitter that does not settle into the lip lines.

*sigh* Next time I should buy eyeshadows or something. :| As always, drop an ask if you want a review, additional pictures or swatches.

Estee Lauder was where I first began my makeup stash, because my grandmother would gift me little palettes and those bags you get GWP. I don’t use it any more, I am more of an Urban Decay & NYX girl myself but the formula for Estee Lauder’s Pure Color Lipstick can’t be beaten and I do wish I was more interested in the brand. I just swiped on Malt Truffle this afternoon and I spent a good five minutes staring at how pretty the bullet is. I couldn’t photograph the gold sparkles properly, but it seriously looks like liquid gold!

If I were even mildly interested in the color as it is on my lips, I’d wear it much more often. As it is, it’s a super moisturizing lipstick that almost feels like a balm, it’s a very soft formula, probably the least drying lippie I’ve ever tried. If you like shimmery, sheer nude golds this is a great one to look for, though it’s an old release. It’s luxe — $24 ish, but I do recommend the ED Pure Color Lipstick range. I just wish they had more of a selection.

Whelp, been too busy to post anything of substance lately. My bad! Since starting at Teen Vogue I’ve been having to cut down my makeup routine from infinite minutes (free time all the time!) to 5 minutes, and also take into account the fact I need to walk everywhere and take public transportation which makes me sweaty and cranky. So these are all the things I’ve been using, minus lipstick which switch up constantly. Urban Decay Eyeliner: I prefer liquid eyeliner but it takes too long to set, so I use this in a quick swipe.
Estee Lauder Illusionist Mascara: I love L’Oreal Voluminous, but the wand is huge and this is much smaller, but very lengthening. Into it.
Urban Decay Blush in Score: ….at least I think it’s score, I have it upstairs. I was disappointed about how small this is (it’s much smaller than NYX or NARS blush, this is a little larger than the size of a quarter?? But it’s SO GOOD! This is my go-to blush right now, it’s PERFECT for summer. I can’t describe it properly, it’s almost a contour color but not quite, it’s an in between color of peach and AMAZING.
Skin79 Super+ Beblesh Balm: I use this one over my Missha just because I have more of it and it’s in my room, but I do love it. I don’t think it provides as much coverage as Missha, but I think it lasts longer and that is more important in the heat.
Josie Maran Argan Matchmaker Serum Foundation: I just started using this this week, but, um, obsessed. It’s SO light on the skin (I genuinely forgot I even had it on), makes my skin glow and hasn’t broken me out and it matches me perfectly. When I first put it on it was kind of scary because it seemed too orange, but it adjusted afterwards and it looked great: my skin, but glowy and perfect. It didn’t budge at all today and I loved the consistency of the formula. LOVE.
Mario Badescu Aloe Vera Toner: This toner is my favorite, if you’ve read the previous post comparing toners (check the tags) you’ll see why. But yeah, still my favorite, HG toner, etc etc. I’ve been bad with my skin regimen lately, no masks or anything. Just Cetaphil Cleanser and this and it’s great.
