D.I.Y Skincare: Scrub Edition
Since you guys seem to love my home skincare recipes (most notes per post, easily) here’s a few more scrubs to add to your liked posts. I think once I’ve posted like, 50, I’ll release a special edition pdf of all my favorite home recipes for skin and hair. Would you guys like that? Like this post if you would so I get an idea if it’s worth it or not.
DIY Pore-Opening Scrub
- 1/2 Teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 Tablespoon raw brown sugar
Mix the baking soda with the sugar then rub it onto your face until your skin tingles (this will take 30seconds to 5 minutes). Wash it off with warm water. This is good for opening up your pores, and helps clear up your skin and mattify it.
NOTE: You should test out how your skin reacts to baking soda before you put it all over your face. You might want to replace it with honey; honey and sugar = amazing face scrub as well.
Oatmeal Skin-Polishing Scrub
- 3/4 cup dry oatmeal
- 1/2 cup honey
Mix the oatmeal with honey until it’s well blended, rub it onto your face for a few minutes then rinse it off in the shower.
Almond-Mayonnaise Scrub
- 1/4 cup almonds
- 1/8 tsp mayonnaise
Grind almonds until fine. Add mayonnaise just until it’s mixed, then rub this paste gently over face, leave 10 minutes and then rinse. This is best for dry skin.
