I'm an esthetician, maybe I can help with the question about scarring. It largely depends on where you fall on the Fitzpatrick scale (1 being the lightest and most sun-sensitive, 6 being the darkest and least sun-sensitive). If you're a Fitzpatrick 4-6, over-exfoliation can cause hyperpigmentation and keloid scarring (this is sometimes seen in levels 1-3 but it's much rarer). There are treatments and peels that can't be used on levels 4-6 for the same reason. Hope that helps!

Omg thank you. !!! <3

And from myvenusdoomx3: “To the person who asked about exfoliation and scarring: Although it made reduce the appearance of acne scars faster, over exfoliating can cause tiny abrasions on the skin that can lead to micro-scarring, which will give the skin a rough texture over time. Exfoliate no more than 2-3 times a week to avoid this. (Less if you have dry skin) Hope that helps!”
