review: koji dolly wink liquid eyeliner in deep black

packaging!

As requested, here’s my review of one of the eyeliners that I got during the holidays, the Koji Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner in Deep Black. I have been using this eyeliner for years, especially during the summer with the humidity, because I have found that this is the only liner that does not smudge on my oily lids during the summer. See why I love this liner beyond the cut! (。≖ิ‿≖ิ)

Packaging: The packaging that it comes in is really cute to me, with the cute bowties and pink and white theme. The actual liner itself is covered with polka dots, has another cute bowtie and is overall very ‘girly.’ The black cap snaps on and off and I like that you can audibly hear it close (because one of the problems with some pen-shaped liners is that they dry out because of faulty packaging).
The liner applicator itself is like a fine tip pen as well, making it easy to do a very thin line to a larger, bolder line depending on how it’s held and how much pressure is used during application. This is one of the main reasons that I use this liner for tight-lining; the control I am able to have with this liner (with a steady hand of course) is great for tight-lining, especially since it’s like writing with a pen.

Here are a couple swatches.

First with natural lighting - thin and thick line

Artificial Lighting
And again with the thin and thick line, this time under artificial lighting.

Quality: The quality of this eyeliner for the price is absolutely amazing (the price varies depending on where you purchase it, but it should not be more than $23 dollars. shop around). It’s a waterproof formula that is relatively easy to take out with an appropriate makeup remover (I use a makeup removal oil). During the winter, the longevity of the eyeliner on me is as long as 10 hours; during the summer with humidity, it starts to wear off slowly around the 8 hour mark. The color of the liner is a true deep black as well. …I absolutely love this liner, pd, and it is one of my HG liners because of the quality, color, and longevity on my oily lids. My only warning/negative about the product is that sometimes the tip of the liner dries out so the product stops coming out. I just wiggle the tip around gently and then shake the liner and that usually fixes that problem.

Overall Recommendation: Completely recommended, especially if you’re looking for a liquid liner to try to tightline with, or looking for a pen-shaped liquid waterproof liner.
